![]() Then the food came and was so disappointing. I was there to spend a lot of money on a celebration (I told them I was picking up the whole tab in advance, so not to worry about checks etc), on a slow night for them, and they couldn't have been less accommodating. We eventually ended up just sitting at high tops and ordering apps because it became so ridiculous. Then they wouldn't seat us until our entire group was there, but we had someone coming from Boston so we all stood around an empty bar waiting for our last friend to arrive. After a lot of friendly back and forth we went to the bar to have some drinks and figure it out. ![]() Meanwhile the restaurant was empty and it was a Monday night in Winter, so they could have just gone along with it but they had to make it an issue. When we arrived they said they didn't take reservations and didn't know why someone did. I called in advance and someone on the phone confirmed our party. They moved locations and I was excited to try out the new spot and decided to hold a small event for 8 people there. I hate writing bad reviews and as a long time Quincy Resident I was a big fan of the Fat Cat. We don’t live close by but certainly wouldn’t visit again More Our waitress was very patient with us and also the owner or manager not sure was also very nice, my cousin didn’t like his fish and chips saying the batter was too over cooked, after manager redid his fish and gave him a fish sandwich, my cousin said the fish was delicious. My daughter had the Mac and cheese which she said was delicious, we did grab a few drinks from the bar which were very good. nothing like it, not thick at all and had the flavor if bacon in it, I ordered s philly steak sandwich, awful, couldn’t tast steak, only ate half, my cousin didn’t eat it at all, the fried however were really good, my daughter had roasted turkey panini, again another disappointment, she literally had 2 bites, the turkey wasn’t the roasted turkey like Thanksgiving and she said the roll wasn’t tasty. I ordered the clam chowder, it was not like I expected, I love New England clam chowder, this was. First the apps we ordered were very good, calamari and fried pickles. Hope this is the right address, fat fat was on Hancock st Quincy. We were actually in first place going into the final round, but we lost the lead on a beer question. Over the course of the night, our team, “2 Girls World Cup,” did fairly well. It wasn’t the best martini, but I drank it anyway. Once everyone arrived, I ordered a dirty vodka martini to enjoy during trivia. Mal and I arrived a little early, so we had some fun with self portraits. I really enjoyed it, especially with a big glob of wasabi on it!Īfter dinner, Mal and I headed across the street to Blue 22 for Stump Trivia with our friends Elizabeth, Nick, and Nick’s brother. The tuna was thick, meaty, and very flavorful. We just wanted to keep eating them!įor my entrée, I ordered the Cajun Seared Ahi, which was served with wasabi, pickled ginger, and a sweet sesame sauce. The pickles were so delicious, we eventually had to push them away from us, so we could save room for our entrée. There were lots of great choices– from local selections to imports to “funky stuff.” Mal was especially happy about the variety of IPAs.Īs an appetizer, Mal and I shared an order of the Fried Dill Pickle Slices, which were served with a thick Cajun Remoulade. Mal and I were pleasantly surprised with the beer menu at The Fat Cat. The Fat Cat is “an engaging, warm, industrial-style restaurant.” It’s quaint and cozy inside with a gorgeous bar on one side of the restaurant and an open seating area on the other. ![]() Over the past several months, I’ve heard all sorts of great things about it, so I was really excited to check it out for myself. ![]() Last night, Mal and I went on a date to The Fat Cat in Quincy Center. ![]()
