![]() ![]() I really don’t know much more than that, since I’m not in the fandom. Because the character’s look like Squinkies, it was apparently pretty easy to headcanon them as different body types, ethnicity and so on. Honestly, the only time I’ve heard about nonsexualized art of thin (or otherwise unspecified) characters is in regards to Homestuck. We just really need way more art of realistic, positive, non-sexual and non-stereotypical fat versions of thin characters out there to combat this problem!! Instead, it’s made in usually done in caricatured, fatphobically-stereotyped ways and are either overdone for mockery and laffs or overdone and sexualized for fetishistic enjoyment. It’s just so supremely frustrating that (A) there’s so little art of thin characters drawn fat to begin with (especially in comparison to art of fat characters drawn thin), and (B) that the majority of what art is out there isn’t made realistically, positively and for the purpose of making fat people feel acknowledged and appreciated. It’s really, really sad and telling of the state of things that that’s what you (and many others) think of when you hear “fat versions of thin characters”, rather than thinking “cute art of thin characters as fat that depicts them and fat bodies in general in a positive light”. ![]() I always assumed ‘drawing thin characters as fat’ meant fetish art work tbh. There are more than plenty of you complaining about fat-representation-related topics that you don’t really understand or care about, give yourselves some credit. You’re not a poor lone “””voice of reason””” standing against an army of angry irrational sjws, you’re an angry irrational fatphobe army in your own right. Lol wtf do you think you - and all the hundreds and hundreds of people I’ve seen make posts just like yours - are doing, if not complaining about that? To everyone who writes posts saying: “tumblr is always yelling about people drawing fat characters as thin, but I don’t see anyone complaining about when people draw thin characters as fat, what a double standard!!” ![]()
